city chic

wearing:
hat/topshop
overalls/forever21
shoes/expression
top/vero moda

it's been so chilly lately.
i was hoping for some sun today but fog took over and i had to put together a last minute outfit.
i really love my city's downtown. there's so many cute little stores, coffee shops, and colourful walls.

lately i've been into drinking tea.
david's tea recently opened up here and i've been drinking a lot of the 'birthday cake' tea.
but my favourite is 'tazo zen'.
do you have a favourite tea?

wearing
cheetah jacket:thrifted

pink floyd dress:H&M

all i ever wanted in life was to be a cheetah girl. obviously that didn't happen.

so i moved on with my life and now here i am standing in the freezing cold snow trying to relive my childhood. school's been super lame, but in other news today is my last day as a blonde!! i'm really nervous about going darker, but hey change is always good.

inspire: cara delevingne

so now that you guys kind of know me now i thought i should start sharing with you guys all the people and things that inspire me from day to day.
i thought it would be an amazing way to start off this brand new section by sharing my most inspirational figure. as most of you know this is cars delevingne. i've been following her career for about almost two years now and i'm so proud to see her blossom as a musician and model.
i really latched onto cara as a role model when i first saw her. as a big eyebrow girl i finally had someone to look up to. her style, looks, personality, etc. are all things i wish i could have.
i love how her street style includes usually a lack of makeup. i find cara not only to be stunning in photo shoots but also gorgeous naturally.

who's footsteps do you aspire to walk in?

weekly update: november blues au natural

i apologize dearly for my absence. i've been on holidays for a couple of weeks and mixed in before that i had some very important exams and essays due.
so since i've been gone my favourite month has passed. i had an emotional good bye to october and welcomed november with a poor attitude. but now that it is november 20th i can gleefully say that november isn't that bad after all. november is kind of the thursday of the week, but this month has actually had quite a few great moments.
november means december next which also means MY BIRTHDAY!! but before my birthday november 30th hits which also means BEYONCE CONCERT!!!! yes beyonce, live, in the flesh. i will get some photos for you lovely people. november has been a good month for my bank account. Sadly i haven't purchased one thing of clothing, but i have purchased many cds!

My november goal was to go for a more natural lifestyle (food, looks, life). I've cut down my sugar intake and I've started drinking up to 4 bottles of water a day. I've switched to natural oils to help with my skin and hair. The hardest part was the makeup switch. I was totally into the winged eyeliner and brown eyeshadows but I've knocked those out of my daily routine and switched for a light bronzer and an eyelash curler. I really have enjoyed this process and I challenge all of you to start with just a simple bottle of water a day and make the change from there, it's totally worth it.

Talk to you soon xoxoox

weekly update: halloween inspiration

*cue the spooky music*
as the days get closer i realize that I still don't have a halloween costume. this is where the panic sets in.
but then i come to conclusion that i will probably go as batman for the eighth year in a row and hey, i'm okay with that.
but this also means that october is coming to an end. each year i find this hard to take in so i will light a few pumpkin spice candles and continue with my new dull life. november isn't a great time but that means i'm only about 11 months away from october.
so what are you going as for halloween? or do you have a suggestion for what i should be?! help!

weekly inspiration = rookie magazine

all images are from rookie magazine

usually i keep things i obsess over to myself. i do this because i become so obsessed with something that it comes to the point that all i do is talk about it.
BUT
i need to share this with you guys.

rookie magazine

i discovered rookie magazine about 9 months ago and i've gone on it every day since. now if you're a boy you probably won't be able to relate to these stories. but you can read them if you want.. i'm not judging... (kinda am)(kinda not)(idk).
anyways, rookie magazine has changed me. Tavi has easily composed the world's greatest magazine.
Usually I try to get along with all the girls around me, but let's get real. We will encounter those few girls that no matter what we do or say they hate us. So, I was having some problems with a few girls and Rookie magazine released an article teaching me how to 'bitchface'. Since that day I've pulled out the bitch face on regular occasions and I can say that it has a 99.9% success rate.
Throughout these past few months I've read many memorable articles but from all of this I've been able to realize that Rookie is here for us girls. It teaches us how to embrace our bodies, personalities, and looks. I'm so thankful for Rookie and Tavi and her amazing crew and I just wanted to share this amazing site with you guys.

xoxo
