it's been an entire week in canada and i couldn't be anymore excited to be home!

living in a different country definitely makes you realize how valuable life at home is.

it's been such a relaxing break thus far.

being able to finally see some of my close friends has been an amazing christmas gift! 

also being employed at american apparel through the holidays has been wonderful/awful for my bank account at the same time. 

awful because i buy something every shift, whoops, can't blame a girl.

i thought i would show off a few of my boxing day finds. first of all meet my new skirt from american apparel. i've had my eyes on this skirt for the past few months. boxing day was a great excuse to buy it. i also snagged a plain black tee shirt which is easy to pair with almost anything in my wardrobe.

weekly update: time

1/ it's scary to think about how quickly life goes by. it seems like yesterday i was the awkward 12 year old starting high school, and now here i am, a 17 year old senior in high school (still slightly awkward).
it's crazy to think that in just a few months i will be walking across a stage being handed a diploma which pushes me into life. 
in 8 months i will be moving away to another country and attending university in the USA. it's terrifying to think about because i've never lived alone, especially in another country.

but in light of all of this my favourite part is planning for the future. i couldn't be anymore excited for what life brings me. if my life follows the path i've dreamed of, i will be sitting in a small cafe in NYC in a few years. it's nerve racking to think about all the struggles i will face, the relationships that will end, and the stress that will live with me throughout university. but it's riveting to think about the places i will see, the friends i will meet, and the pictures i will take.
i've never been so excited to face a journey. i'm sad to lose a part of my youth, but it's amazing finally being able to grow up.

okay i apologize for my absence.
it's been a crazy week, but don't worry i haven't forgotten about all of you lovely people. 

in the past couple of weeks i've picked up some amazing items that i thought i would share with you all. i have awful complexion and acne so i bought a ton of stuff from Lush Cosmetics because i wanted to take a natural vegan approach to it. so far i'm in love with all of the products. they leave my skin feeling and smelling amazing. i've also been happy with the results so far. i can't wait to keep using them all and getting to see my skin finally clear up!
